Invention Commercial Label

My teams main goals for this project was, we wanted everyone to understand the concept of the conflict checker. So we had come up with a plan to not make an app but to make an illusion to understand to what we were trying to say about our product. So we really had high expectations like while we were doing the editing and when we were done with everything we made about 3 people watch and see if it really made sense to their point of view. They all said yes. During the critiques even though I wasn't there I'm pretty sure that we got a good critique.

The best team moment was over the weekend while we were filming we hanged out at the park chatting and eating candy. I really wish that I got more time to spend with my group and that's because it was a Sunday and it was my birthday #finallyateen and happy birthday to my teammate Kyla Bautista. Though we still had bonding time on that day we filmed. It was really funny that it was a rainy day and when I finally got there it was very bright and sunny. We did so much filming on that day to but eventually our camera died.

During the post production the person who did the editing would be Kyla and Ashley. So I was really happy with the finished product. I had many ideas into what was going on into the editing but I think we were just following on to our original plan.

Composition Scavenger Hunt

Well what I think the most important composition technique would be rule of thirds subject. And that's because I watch a lot of TV on my free time and usually I watch many documentaries about ocean life and I see many marine biologists and I that see the rule of thirds and its always not like a dead straight bulls eye. So what I'm saying why is it important is when me and friends get together and we film something and it involves interviewing we put on the grid so we know how to get it eye leveled. I really like this composition technique and thats because it can be useful in many ways.

Contrast & Content 

I think the most difficult would be is leading lines and thats because the pictures that I see online are like for example a pier and it would be of the sunlight pointing toward the ending. And to be really honest I think it the hardest out of the composition techniques and you really need to find a good perspective on what your trying to do with it. so every picture has a meaning and I think if you do the meaning to a raise of sunshine leading to the sun or something else like that it would just be an absolute beautiful shot but if you can capture it right then no one is going to see the art of it.

Repetition of Shapes  

My teammates are Ashley Alfiler & Kyla Bautista. So my teammates all contributed and what I mean by that is we did some filming, and some saying the technique. So when we were doing our editing the video I did half of transitions and cut outs, Kyla added the rest of the transitions and the music, and Ashley she did the rearranging the clips and cutting the clip to where they are supposed to be. So we all technically shared an equal part on editing the video. So I actually like how it turned it was short & simple. So when we went over it, and when we had our critiques some of our shots didn't and did meet the requirements. And anyways we just did our best on the filming, anyways we had fun while doing it.

Cracking the Code

I think everyone should learn how to code and that's is because coding could help you in life. For example say you are applying for a job and it involves computerizing. And your boss wants you to customize a website for the his/her company. Like for me as a GT student, for me I'm this year I have many new projects to do and so in my science class we are using this program and its called "scratch". And it like this animation program. But not going to far into depth with all the info so Me and my partner are doing Hawaiian social classes.

Continuing on, so my first experience with programming was actually when I first made my blog. And so a couple posts after when I first learned how to post a video and you can look or scroll down and watch it's called "Gluten'' its the pros or cons of the way it can effect people. And so describing my first contact with programming when I first got to my blog, when I went to my post I went to my html which is like another part of your blog that saves what you are doing. And so I copied and pasted my link to the video. And so that was the first time that I did programming. So now I really got used to what I'm doing with all the videos that I have done through the past year. So check out the link on my side bar to kmshonu.blogspot.com. If I could design a program I would design a program that would delete all the things that involve bullying, videos that contain explicit content like fights, foul comments ( like bad words ), and many other things that would involve things like that. And that is just part of my program and the rest of it would have games and lessons on bulling and many other things that will teach you in life. And I got this idea from Pier mediation and it this group that talks about bullying and what it can do to you. And from time to time I watch videos on youtube about a power of a bystander. So I really want to help people and what their going through. So the purpose of my program is to keep our society living better and what I learned from Pier mediation was that many people die and that is just because of thoughts of dying. And that is just because of bullying. So if I were to create a program like what I just said 

My Humorous Monologue

What I have learned from this project was I learned this time not to be a procrastinator and that's because I was very late on turning in my b-roll so I was really relieved that Mr.Sanderal gave us more time to film. I learned how to do more things in iMovie. And If I had a second chance on this project I would really try to improve my skills on filming something else instead of my brothers. And I had a second topic I would write a joke on my brother playing football.

The thing for me with padding was I had a little cough and cold here and there so I was sick on the day that we had to do the monologue. So the way I edited it in my iMovie project is I cut all the little things that needed to be left out like we needed to pad because of the lumix cameras it needed a little boost then we could start filming. Even though I was still sick I got everything done and there was this one day that I had the chance to change my monologue and that is because I didn't like the way my voice sounded at all. So I had the chance. Padding my clips were really hard and that is because of I had a lot of shaky footage and

Finally the most trouble that I had on this project is filming my brothers. They didn't really want to cooperate with me so I kind I had a nervous break down just because I thought I was going to fail. Another weakness of mine is not getting my done on time which for me is I call it procrastination. My strengths are I finished and exported my video on time and I was happy with what I did. I made the class laugh and I got a lot of votes for 2 and 3 so my way of thinking I really wanted to change my whole entire project to something else that was funny and more in my comfort zone. But I didn't give up. So if I had a project like this again I would change my work habits like not to be a procrastinator. Next time I'll check out a camera out everyday and try to get the best quality of work done.  

Comedy Writing

It's an important character because you need the ability to make people laugh and any ways what's the point between a statement and a joke. For a joke your just saying a sentence that has many things about a topic and a joke is your saying thing that are true and you are making it funny by either using hand gestures or props. For me I either tell jokes about my brother or something else and the most likely I tell a lot of jokes about my brother. And another you should know about me is I answer to my nickname which is Julie and I don't like it when people say my full name Julianne. I really like people with senses of humor because it's just makes my day when I'm a feeling down.

Here is five tips about writing a humorous narrative. Tip number 1 when you are humorous narrative you have to put a lot of planing into it. So when you are telling your jokes all your hard work will payoff. Tip 2 this is only if you are a comedian. And most comedians that I watch have props with them and hand gestures and I think if you try to think out side the box and you improvise you can make a more out of it. Tip 3 most times when writhing a humors narrative you always can add sequences like pictures or scenes that your doing. Like me when I was really young I used to draw pictures that had to be in chronological order so the only thing that I remember that is I did this story that talked about my " My new puppy ".  Tip 4 you don't really need that much detail and that is because of your writing a joke you only need so many things to say about. So you only need simple things and that is what I learned. Tip 5 have fun while you writing you narrative.

My joke is about my brothers. I really did not think that I could pull through to get a good grade. And that is because of I didn't get that much done within the time was. Although I was able to pull through. And when it was all over when we exported it there was a huge relief off my shoulders. So when we did the critique I was so surprised that most people wouldn't laugh but a lot of my friends and the other student did. Even though I had the roughest time filming my brother I was happy of the come out.



   

Motivational Poster

Okay so all his expectations are a lot so what you need in your main start is you need the most is 2 text layers are which are filled with your manifesto and the other layer would be filled with your personal quotes. And the other thing is you need 3 symbolic images that represent you need 1 image of you or a portrait of you. Then its time to put the bigger things that will make your document look 10x better. So kerning that is one of the main thing and that its the spacing between each letter that has to be equal to get that point you need for you grade. Then your triadic color scheme its about color so you chose 1  color that dominate then you chose two other colors that are balance equally from the color wheel. Visual balance is, so say your doing a project in photo shop and your adding the finishing touches then  you spot something wrong you don't like the way it looks. So it what I'm trying to say is it needs look appealing to the eye. And the last requirement is your blending option it just this little tweak to make your work better.

Okay for the past two weeks that we had this project we had to collect three pictures and that is what represents me and a profile pic so that makes 4 in total so you need three pictures that represent you and your profile picture. After we needed to gather you personal quotes and a manifesto in your google documents. So after you have gathered that all together then you go photo shop then you make a new document that is named (last name, first letter of you name_ subject). Then after you have don that means you have to make 2 new layers that are labeled Manifesto and Quotes. Then you go back in your google documents and you copy and paste you manifesto in you manifesto layer and your quotes in you quotes layer.

Then when your all done copy and pasting you have this big fat paragraph so what you do is called kerning to make in a big box of text to cover your whole page. After you can drag and drop the pictures that you collected in to the document and the pictures will make its own layer so you would have about 6 layers 2 for manifesto and your quotes and for the four pictures you have. Then when you are done putting in all your layers together then you can finally add in your effects. So what  did was for the effect on my pictures I added was curves, color, and a couple other effects. Then for my text layers I added a bevel and emboss, outer glow, stroke and, a drop shadow. Finally I scene I was in a rush I turned it in right on time but i wasn't happy with my finished product.

Finally the hardest thing about the project,  honestly I would say that the whole thing was challenging because the truth is I am a procrastinator and I like being one. And thats because I work harder when I'm under pressure. Although everything turned out the way I wanted it to in the end. But when we were only half way into this project all the little sixth graders around me, well I think they did good just for their first project. And that is because I got confused in one of the demos on placing the pictures in the document. Next if I was able to have another chance to redo it I would have changed my color scheme instead of a bright pink color. And I could have tooken better pictures that symbolizes me. Also if I had more time I could've worked on my keening and changing my font instead of having similar fonts that are bold. In my opinion I think that you can even tell that which letter are bold that I wanted to stand out and the ones that I wanted to be just a normal skinny font.  

Personal Manifesto

  

 Hey guys I'm Julie 5 interesting fact about me are I like to dance hula and Tahitian because I like the many different styles of dance also if I were to chose any other nationality I would want to be Hawaiian. My second fact about me is even i don't play any sports I really like to help my brothers with there sport for example help them how to throw the ball better or other things. My third fact is I really like to act childish and that is because i'm really happy an active. Fourth fact about me is I have black straight hair, dark brown eyes and Im tall.My last fact is I really like turtles because my schools animal is the turtle or how we say in Kauai the "Honu".                                              

Use your time wisely. Have fun. Smile. Take the risk. Make every thing count. Don't give up even though how hard it is. Have strength in what you take part in. Be thankful. Hula & Tahitian. Speak up. Respect others. Pride. BE positive. Take a look back at the past. Family.

Okay in my manifesto it mostly explains things about me and for the words hula and Tahitian what that means to me is it my hobby or more like my passion. And thats because of its has many types of different cultures of dance like New Zealand the Mouri Culture, Tahiti the Tahitian Culture, And Hawaiian the Hula Culture. "Use your time wisely " that's a quote I had in my head for a long time because ever since I got into middle school I had a lots of work. So I've learned to take my time wisely.
